Privacy policy

Last updated October 23, 2026

This policy explains how Proven & Found ("we") handles personal information collected through provenandfound.com and through the services we provide to our clients.

What we collect

  • When you ask for a free check: your business name, the town you serve, and your email or mobile number.
  • When you apply for a campaign we pay for: your business and contact details, service area, average job-value range, capacity, response time, advertising history, systems and any notes you provide.
  • When you send a message or start a plan: your name, business details, email, phone and the choices you make. Card details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
  • For our clients' leads: call recordings and transcripts, form submissions, booking records and email replies for the leads we track on a client's behalf.
  • From your browser: pages visited, the site that sent you and actions taken, through Google Analytics and the Meta pixel when they are switched on. These use cookies and similar technology.

How we use it

  • To send your free check, evaluate a campaign application, reply to your message and follow up about it
  • To deliver services, count and review leads, and bill our clients
  • To measure and improve our website and advertising
  • To meet legal obligations and protect against fraud

What we never do

We do not sell personal information. We never share or resell one client's leads with another business.

Who we share it with

  • Our clients: leads, recordings and messages about a client's business go to that client.
  • Service providers that work on our instructions: website hosting (Amazon Web Services), telephony and texts (Twilio), email delivery (SendGrid), payments (Stripe), analytics and advertising (Google and Meta), and AI transcription and analysis providers.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our clients or others.

Text messages

We text you only if you agreed to receive texts. Mobile numbers and text consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. See our text message terms.

Calls, recordings and AI

Calls to tracked numbers are recorded after a notice and may be transcribed and analyzed by our service providers, including with AI, for quality and billing. See the call recording notice.

How long we keep it

  • Free-check requests, campaign applications and messages: up to 24 months after our last contact with you.
  • Call recordings and transcripts: up to 24 months after the call, unless the client asks us to delete them sooner.
  • Lead and billing records: 7 years, for tax and accounting.
  • Analytics data: as set in Google Analytics and Meta, up to 14 months.

Your choices and rights

  • Ask us to access, correct or delete your information.
  • Opt out of texts by replying STOP, and out of emails with the unsubscribe link.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
  • Opt out of ad sharing on your privacy choices page. We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out.
  • Ask us to delete, copy or correct your information with the privacy request form.

Depending on where you live, state law may give you more rights. To make a request, contact the message form on our contact page. We will confirm your request and answer within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

California residents

If you live in California, you can ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, and ask us to delete or correct it. You can also opt out of the sharing of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising, which happens only when the Meta pixel or Google advertising features are switched on. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer things about you. The categories we collect, why, who receives them and how long we keep them are listed above.

Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit and service providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. More detail is on our security and data page.

Children

Our website and services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes

We will post any changes here with a new date.
