Call recording notice

Last updated October 23, 2026

Every call is recorded and may be transcribed and analyzed by our service providers, including with AI.

What callers hear

Every call to a number we track for a client starts with a notice before anyone speaks: "Thanks for calling [business name]. This call is recorded, and it may be transcribed and analyzed by our service providers, including with AI, for quality and billing."

Why calls are recorded

  • So the business can hear what the caller asked for
  • So a person can check whether a call meets the lead definitions before it is billed
  • So disputes can be settled from the recording

States that require everyone's consent

Some states, including California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Washington, require every party to agree to a recording. The notice plays on every call, in every state.

Who can hear a recording

The business you called, the people at Proven & Found who review leads, and service providers who transcribe or analyze calls for us.

Deleting a recording

To ask for a recording of your call to be deleted, contact the message form on our contact page with the number you called, the date and the time.
